Food Inflation is Here
This is about anecdotal evidence that the food inflation monster is already among us. On Tuesday I went to my ward's enrichment night to take a class on organization. The topic of food storage came up and ways people organize theirs. The women commented on how they aren't adding as much to their food storage anymore because of huge price increases in the stores recently. Some women jokingly suggested that Walmart is our food storage until another woman pointed out that a week ago she was there and they literally had a box of eggs in the whole section on eggs, it was that empty and that we can't trust that if we really needed things that they would be available at Walmart. I just bring this up to show that things are probably going to get worse before they get better and getting even a 3-6 months supply of food could be a lifesaver in the near future. Prices are not likely to come down, so do everything you can to get food as cheaply as possible and store it under your beds if you have too. This is just the tip of the iceberg and this info is directly from the women whose job it is to feed their children. They aren't conspiracy nuts just on the front lines on this inflationary war.
